Role Description
The Program Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of multi-day backpacking experiences, working to ensure participants have transformative journeys. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating trip logistics, mentoring and managing guide teams, implementing the life of meaning curriculum, and fostering safe and Christ-centered group dynamics. Additional responsibilities include maintaining partnerships, budgeting, and operational planning to support program goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Del Norte, CO.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in outdoor programming, trip planning, or adventure-based education
- Ability to mentor and guide diverse groups and individuals
- Knowledge of and comfort with hiking and wilderness safety
- Understanding of Christian teachings, practices, and values with a focus on fostering faith-driven development
- Team management, conflict resolution, and motivational skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, Ministry, Leadership, or related field preferred
- Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification
