Role: The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being following a plan of care under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and supervise treatment as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers within scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed, certified, or registered to practice physical therapy in the state.
- CPR certification and valid driver's license with access to transportation.
- Ability to work in diverse home environments and perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
- Availability for weekend rotations.
