Espinoza Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS) is seeking a Secretary of Interior-Qualified (SOI) Project Archaeologist to be based remotely in the Southeastern United States. This is an excellent position for someone who wishes to expand upon their current skillset to include a combination of fieldwork supervision, technical report preparation, and project/task management. Preference will be given to qualified candidates residing in Southeastern states. This is a full-time position with benefits, starting this late Summer 2026.
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, fieldwork supervision, project management, and technical report preparation. Experience with ESRI applications and basic knowledge of GIS mapping is a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for direction of field projects remotely; therefore, the ability to communicate effectively with senior ECS staff and/or project partners will be essential. Salary is $65,000 to $80,000/year depending on experience. Signing bonus for qualified applicants following completion of probationary term (3 months). Please see the requirements below.
Required Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Anthropology or related field
· Completion of an accredited archaeology field school
· 5+ years of field experience in the Southeastern United States
· Supervisory field experience (min. 3 years)
· Strong technical writing skills (sample will be requested)
· Experience with a variety of GPS devices and software
· Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, FieldMaps, and Survey 123
· Previous Project Management and Proposal experience is a plus
